Jim
Peel was Mr. Everything at Blackhawk High School: he won ten varsity
letters in football, basketball, and track, but his biggest success
was on the gridiron, where he was first team All Conference at
quarterback and defensive back, Parkway Conference MVP, honorable
mention All State, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Fabulous 22, and was
selected to play in the Big 33 Game in Hershey. The Beaver County
Times named Jin the best football player in Blackhawk High school
history. Jim capped his high school athletic career as a starter on
the Cougars 1986 WPIAL Basketball Championship team. At Ohio State
University, Jim was a four year varsity letterman and was a three
year starter at strong safety, leading the Buckeyes in tackles in
1988 and earning homecoming MVP honors that same year. Jim was also
a member of the 1986 National Championship team. After college, Jim
worked as an account executive for EMC. |
