College Athletes
In 1980 at its fifth
annual banquet, the Hall of Fame instituted the
Dick Kadis
Award (established the prior year) to honor outstanding college athletes in
their
final year of eligibility. In 1982, the Hall
established a separate Geneva
Award for outstanding athletes at
Geneva College. And in 1984 the Hall began awards for
outstanding athletes from
Penn State Beaver and from the
Community College of Beaver County.

High School Student
Athletes
In 1978 at its third
annual banquet, the Hall of Fame began to recognize one
male and one female athlete from each Beaver County high
school. In 1988,
Judy Hult
(Howe) Deibel
began to sponsor banquet dinners for the student
athletes, which she continued for the next fourteen
years. Between
2004 and 2008,
Ameriprise
(Mark W. Mizer CFP and Jeffrey J. Kairis CFP)
sponsored banquet dinners and all related expenses (including
plaques) for the student athletes. The Hall of Fame assumed
responsibilities for the high school student athlete
expenses in 2009.

High School Student
Athlete Scholarships
For 26
years, between 1984 and 2009, Nick Crivelli of
Crivelli Dealerships awarded a Crivelli
Chevrolet Scholarship to one female and one male student
athlete. In 2006, the Hall of Fame inaugurated its Past
Presidents Athlete Scholarship Award, granting scholarships to one female and one male student athlete,
with the award increased in 2010 to $1000 for each
student athlete. In 2011,
Wright Buick GMC
began sponsorship of a high school student athlete
scholarship. The
Beaver County YMCA began to sponsor high
school student athlete scholarship in 2012. And the McDonald's
Scholarship began in 2015.

Coaches
In 1978 at its third annual banquet,
the Hall of Fame began to acknowledge high school
and college coaches whose teams won sectional or state titles.

Special Achievements
From time to time, the Hall of Fame
has issued special awards for outstanding achievements
that were not covered by other honors.

Pioneers
The Pioneers are Beaver
County Sports Hall of Fame inductees who played
professionally in or before 1945, the year that World War
